Goal
Create something that ensures three times the happiness.

Sketch
After brainstorming many ideas, I settled on a triple-decker jewelry box. To start my progress I sketched out a step-by-step process of how I wanted my box to open. The process starts with the box fully closed and ends with the box fully opened and extended.

Prototyping
To test my theory and to get an idea of size, I made a prototype of my box. This was my favorite step in the process.

Designing the template
I deconstructed my prototype and measured every element of my design down to where the fold lines would be. With that information, I mapped out each element flat, ready for artwork.

The Artwork
I decided to make my box bold and vibrant to complement the extraordinary surprise it holds. "You are cute" is written in French on top as a sweet gesture. I chose the French language because it is widely agreed upon as romantic.

Finished Product
The finished product proudly exceeds its promise of three times happiness. In a brief survey, it is confirmed four times the happiness is guaranteed and all participants said they would keep the packaging.
